Why have I chosen to start blogging?
The tennis world and media area very focussed on the successes and the top end of the game- people only get to see that side of the sport. I think the average junior player, coach, parent or fan know very little about the journey that players go through to get to the top. Through my blogging, I’d like to take you on a journey and show you everything- the highs, the lows, the struggles, the training, the traveling- essentially the complete life of an upcoming tennis player.
Along with sharing my journey with you, I’d like to write some posts on interesting topics that are crucial to the success of a tennis player. Topics that I, myself am always trying to further my knowledge in and incorporate into my life- strength & conditioning, nutrition, psychology as well as on-court stuff. That being said, I’d like to write about things that you guys are interested in, so my writing might evolve over time depending on what posts get the most interest.
I’d like to post a minimum of one blog a week. I think it will be a great way for me to learn more too. You readers collectively will have more knowledge than I do on many of the topics that I post about. So, I’d love for you to share your ideas and views with me too, whether in comments sections of on my social media platforms.
As well as blogging, I have made a YouTube channel which I will use as a way of bringing you along with me on my journey. Through vlogging, you’ll be able to follow my journey visually-not just through my writing- which will hopefully connect with you in a way that my writing cannot.
I plan on trying to make as many of my blog posts into interesting videos as possible: so expect for there to be a new video each week on my YouTube channel! Make sure you subscribe.
